Random April Stuff!

here is my crazy family ready to have fun dyeing easter eggs! Yes, no one loves to do it but it is tradition and we MUST do it!!!
My girl getting the next egg ready. This was the best dye ever!!!! It took less then a minute in the bowls to be the perfect color and so rich too!!

Spring break and we took a trip to Monterey to the Aquarium, the beach and Dennis the Menace Park. Lots of fun and goos cousins time too!

Papa was the hero when he magically showed up with popsicles!!! Yummy orange sugar!!!

Relaxing after a small injury! A little love and fruit snacks made it all better!

My two ocean LOVERS!!! I think they could live at the beach and put their toes in the freezing water everyday! I will not be surprised to find them going to college in San Diego or Hawaii just so they can get their fill of the ocean!

Kyle giving the fish lips contest a try...

Rebecca wants to be like Great Grandma and be a Rosie the Riveter! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Having fun wish you were here to have fun with us too! Beautiful day and so much fun for all of the kids!!

Kyle and I have 10,000 of pictures like this. People always volunteer to take one of us with the camera but it is a mom and son tradition! I think I always look a tad on the crazy side when I am holding the camera and trying to pose with him!

More April random fun! We got together with our Gymboree friends for a fun Happy Hollow date! Savannah is showing off her ride skills to Gwendolyn by trying to teach her how to put her hands up on the roller coaster!

My chcolate lover helping me to frost cupcakes for Daddy's birthday!

We played with fondant too! So much fun....not manly at all but they sure tasted great and the kids thought it was cool that no two were alike!

Writing on the board at the beginning of preschool class. Savannah loved this class so much and has learned so much too! Should have put her in here longer but the city had messed up the class numbers and I did not complain enough!

Almost Mickey shaped roses in the backyard......great that we do nothing! and get beautiful flowers like this....imagine if I watered and cared for them????

Sidewalk chalk is lots of fun too in the spring. Writing and getting ready for kindergarten! It will be here before we know it.

My funny girl doing who knows what but you can tell she is thinking ahead and has a plan!

Bugging Coconut as usual! Thank goodness he is a friendly dog! He loves to sit on the top of the couch and lay in the sun or just be with us when we are on the computer in the family room.

Jospeh went to preschool right next door to Savannah so on a day Tina needed me to pick him up we had a picnic in the park with Grandma!

Beside the wind we had an awesome time and got to enjoy another park! Savannah loves to visit different parks and I am so happy to promise run around time and exploring new parks at every opportunity!
Okay that was a random April what the heck do we do all month. Simple choices of pictures and just a small random sample of April and things we did!

March 2010

Kyle's 14th birthday was celebrated with a trip to the Imax 3D movie Alice in Wonderland staring Johnny Depp. He took Seby and Stephen along. Since we did not now how scary it was Savannah stayed with Grandma and Papa and they met us at Red Robin for burgers and ice cream for Kyle. I think Kyle has celebrated most of his birthdays at Red Robin and always enjoys the singing and ice cream!
For the family party we stuck to the Alice in Wonderland theme and the kids decorated white rabbit cookies!

Kyle enjoyed new video games, electronics and gift cards!

We got this very cool candle from our friends Rose and Marie! They had one of these for their dad's birthday and gave me one for my birthday. I was going to use it but then found out it had 14 candles when it opened up and I knew I had to save it for Kyle. We had a little malfunction of lighting it and the song goes on forever!!!! but it was very colorful and when the petals opened up everyone said awwwww....We had red velevet cake because it has become Kyle's favorite!!!

We rounded out March with park visits, boy scouts a ton of events!, preschool, and St. Patrick's Day with corned beef and cabbage at Grandma's! It was a great month and lots of fun!

February 2010

Got a couple of calls, interviews and new job prospects this month...weird to be on the other side of the desk and not asking the questions. Hope I never had a lack of questions or asked silly things! or at least not too often. Turned down a couple of things due to low pay but also to not a right fit and too early in the game to take a "job" over something I loved so after a month's time my mom and dad talked me into celebrating my birthday at Disneyland!!! What could be more fun, except we left Clark at home! :( He was fine with it and said I needed to take the break! So off we went and man did we have wonderful weather and a GREAT time! Rebecca came too since it was winter break and she did not miss any days! Thanks to mom and dad for the room for my birthday and making me go!!The girls wanted me to do their hair the same today. So cute in braids and yes, it was wonderful for swimming that night as well....Yes, swimming in Feb.---Grandma bought the girls each a new swimsuit at Costco since we thought it would be too cold to bring them!
Celebrating at Goofy's kitchen with Minnie! This was after Goofy took away the drink menu and asked for my id and still said I was too young to drink!!!

Savannah having a blast and dancing her heart out with Goofy and Minnie! I always give my parents a hard time for going to this very overpriced buffet but I think they all love it so much that that is why they and thousands others keep coming back! or else my dad loves pband j piza and worms and dirt a lot!!

Lines for the fairies! Yes, I indulge Miss S and stand in line each time. This time Papa stood in line too to see what all the fuss is about and I think it will be his last time visiting Tinkerbelle and her fairy friends. Kyle was off to hit up Space Mtn. like always while we did this! There was also screenings of Captain Eo but we were not a cast memeber so we missed out. I think they opened it the week after we left. but gotta leave something for next time!

My orange haired boy!!! He picked to see the new Alice in Wonderland movie for his birthday and this Mad Hatter hat came out on the last day we were at the parks! Lucky boy!! Crazy to see his 6 foot tall self walking around with this but he did and had a great time telling everyone where he got it! Great way to celebrate my birthday and wonderful memories with the kids....pretty much needed this trip to get myself back in the zone...and where else but Disneyland to make your dreams come true!

January 2010

The cousins in their glow up gear at Grandma's celebrating the year 2010!!! It will bring changes for all of us but especially me......my job of 18 years was GONE!!! Decided to take a little time to regroup and write a resume and then figure out what to do during the hours of 8-5 everyday! WOW did my time fill up fast!!! Kids still need to go to school and other activites so go they did! Nice that I was not able to sleep in and worry too much....nope still up at 6 to get kid #1 off to school by 7:40 a.m. everyday.....kid #2 not so happy about going along for the ride and man was she a fashion plate in her jammies and Kitty Hello Rain boots! She mostly complained the whole way there and back....it brought about another change...allowing her to stay at Grandma and Papa's one night a week so we could have some peace and quiet on our early morning commute of 6 minutes!!!
We celebrated another friend's birthday at Pump It Up in Morgan Hill. Yep, our friends are repeaters!!! It is fun to see how much more the girls can get into and how high and how quickly they can jump! Here is a new skill too....trying to beat Daddy at a game of air hockey! Let's see if next year we are back and maybe she won't need to stand on the stool to play! ;)

Making a drawing of our family on her magic board!

Another fun thing being off...cooking for real again! I enjoyed cooking and now to save more money while being off and am enjoying making everything from cookies to crock pot meals! My little helper enjoys helping too and Kyle gives me a rating each day to let me know if I should cook this again and how often! Clark is just happy to come home to a warm meal! and no more dishes for him since I have time to get it done!

Building a fort or something in the family room. I love how much she can find anything to play with and have a great time.

December 2009

Yes, a 6 month late post but what the heck....here's what's been going on!!! The elves arrived soon after Thanksgiving!!! A brother and sister elf made sure to keep the kids in check and reported back to Santa each night on the behavior of the kids and what was going on at our house.....maybe next year I will train them to blog each night for me! HAHA!!
Rebecca and Kyle with Great-Grandma at our house on Christmas Eve. They are both growing up so much and they really are the big kids as we all call them now!

Such wonderful cousin love! Yah, right! They pretend to annoy and bother each other but it is great that we all live so close and they get to do lots of fun stuff together as the big kids. They do work for Grandma sometimes upstairs.....playing Wii!!! The little kids have not figured out that their "work" for Grandma is so much fun!

Bright sparkling eyes and a wonderful personality....we are soo lucky and thankful to have her in our lives!!! She picked out this furry gingerbread man sweater and was so warm and fuzzy!

Peace out peeps!!! Savannah still tries to throw up some sign when I am taking her picture! Not sure where or when she learned this but it makes me laugh everytime I see it on the set of pics I take! We had a great Christmas Eve celebrating with the family. Clark made the Gumbo and I tried to cut back on having too much food but I think we ate leftovers until New Year's!!! Gotta keep up the traditions!
