Busy weekend....no photos!

We had a busy weekend. Clark was out of town for a few days so on Friday night I took Kyle to an Eagle Court of Honor. My first one and it was interesting to see what happens. I promised Kyle and his friends a BIG party if they can get their's done in 2 years!!! We'll see what happens....

Clark and Kyle headed off to the ranch for the weekend to complete some boy scouts merit badge requirements. They did a compass walk and a 5 mile hike. They had a good time and came home smelly and stinky!

Savannah and I took Grandma with us to get a haircut and a trip to the mall where we went back to finish out our 6 weeks of Gymboree. We went to lunch with her friend Gwendolyn afterwards and after a little more shopping headed home for a nap!

We headed over to Great-Grandma's apartment to give her the plan for her 90th birthday! We are all going to South Dakota!!! She has been asking for about 3 years and we decided since that is all she really wants we will take our vacation and go with her. I have not been in 30 years-I remember some but I'm sure to get a whole lot of more information at age 40 instead of age 10!!!! The plans are all falling into place and it should be a fun trip.

Sunday, we went to swimming lessons. Savannah is enjoying the lessons and we only have 2 more so hopefully, the sunshine will come out and heat Grandma and Papa's pool so we can practice more. The boys came home in the afternoon and took showers, put their stuff away, Kyle worked on homework and Clark took a nap.....then off to their Sunday night ritual of Taiko!

See busy plans but lots of fun built in too....no pictures this time. I will try and add some more soon!

The girls!

Savannah is up in the loft of the playhouse with Rebecca.
Giving me a half smile.....she really does not want me to bug her in here.
The girls looking through the railing in the playhouse. Not sure what they were playing but Rebecca wanted to pose so Savannah joined in too.
Smiley Rebecca picture. Girl cousins having lots of fun together.
Savannah found her egg and she was excited to see her name on it. It was also the magical egg with money in it!

Crazy pics of 4 Grandkids!

My mom has a screen saver picture on her computer of the kids from October 2006 and they do not look like that anymore so I have tried to update the picture many times. I usually can get three of them to look decent but one is missing or not looking or whatever. She will not update the picture until it is all 4 of them so here is the photo shoot that I tried. I have many more but none are great so for now it will stay Pumpkin Patch 2006 on Grandma's computer forever!!!!------This is an example of Savannah being bored and I am not sure what Joseph was doing?!!! No hands maybe?!
Big Kids fine......Little kids looking at Tina and Joseph has a huge amount of chocolate in his mouth that Tina gave him to make him sit still.
Big Kids fine again.....little kids I guess this might be the best one. Savannah was using her hands to express the fact that this was probably the 12th picture!!!
Okay Savannah has had enough! Joseph is still eating his candy......Big Kids fine..
Okay still not great.....the Big Kids Rocked!!!! Little kids will make us try again.....maybe I will make a collage of pictures of each one of them and then it will work!

Easter fun with Savannah and Great-Grandma.

Great-Grandma is helping Savannah look for more eggs in the Easter egg hunt.
Great-Grandma found one up on the Patio Umbrella. She opened it and found it had fruit snacks in it so she gave it to one of the kids. She is the chocoaholic in the family and we think Savannah is following in her footsteps. It must be an inherited trait!
Look at the pretty eggs Great Grandma, this one is my favorite color-PINK!
Great-Grandma had decided to have a piece of coconut cake for dessert and look who crawled up in her lap to have a bite to eat!
It is yummy! Thanks for sharing Great-Grandma. Nice to see such a wonderful relationship between our oldest and youngest ladies!!!!

Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma and Papa's

Savannah is dressed and ready to go to Grandma and Papa's for Easter. This is on our front porch. It was actually too warm for the sweater so I think it came off as soon as we walked up the street!
Savannah and Joseph trying to decide who is getting that purple egg on the chair. We let the little kids have about a 5 minute start over the big kids.
Kyle with his basket pretty full and still looking for more eggs.
Rebecca collecting lots of loot. I think she was the winner of the egg hunt with 42 eggs collected. The little kids found exactly the same amount of 22 eggs each! Notice Clark's free bowl of soup hat in the background!!!!
Grandma taking video with her flip! She is doing so good with taking lots of video. Now we just have to teach her how to put it up on you tube!!!

Champagne and Pink Diamonds!

We ate our usual breakfast of creme brulee french toast and Kyle asked for sparkling cider. Got one out and look who decided she LOVED it!! Grabbed the camera and here is our poser!
"I love this champagne." We asked her if she wanted diamonds too and she said yes, PINK diamonds. Oh her poor, future boyfriends. They have NO idea of what they will be in for!
YUMMY!!! I LOVE IT!!!
Gotta love the Boysenberry face too! She eventually had one on one of her teeth so she put on a little country girl show too. We love our funny monkey!!!!!!

Happy Easter!!!....the bunny came!

The bunny came! Savannah is still not so sure about that giant bunny coming to our house but he left chocolate so I guess he is allowed today.
Kyle had been waiting for over an hour before Sleeping Beauty decided to get up or maybe her brother woke her up.....I am still not sure! hahaha
Kyle scored 3 new Nintendo DS games. Zoo Tycon 2, Disney snood, andLeft Brain vs. Right Brain. He also got some Superman comic books and art projects and of course....candy and gum! He put his basket on his head since we used to take pictures of him in the basket. I think we made him do it until he was 4 or so and he beat us to asking and put it on his head when it was empty.
Savannah gets in on the act. She wants her own basket head. She was very excited to get some clothes, stuff for her kitchen, books, a sprayer and digger (Tinkerbell garden set) and Enchanted Movie with Princess Giselle.
These two Princess lollipops were a hit and she asked if we were going to Disneyland today ....that is the last place she got some lolli's like these. See she is following in Grandma's footsteps more then we think. Gotta get her into preschool in the fall so they don't go so often.....yah right! They will go anyways!

Eggs to Dye for!

Look what we decided to spend Friday afternoon doing! Yep, make a mess!!! I got off early on Friday and came home to get stuff ready to dye eggs with the kids. They had gone to see Horton Hears A Who! with Grandma, Missy and Wyatt. After they went out to lunch at Red Robin. Their bellies were full so we dove in and got out the nice white pristine eggs.........
Savannah stirs up the pink one! Did you think she would chose any other color?
Kyle loves to dye the eggs. He chose orange as his primary color. We did not have any dye spill or have anyone use their fingers instead of the spoons so all in all it was pretty boring and in less then half an hour we were done and all the eggs were beautiful spring colors.
We're all done.....look how pretty the eggs are.
Yummy, spring colors. Now we will probably not eat these on Easter or hide them. Our tradition is to hide plastic eggs. I think Grandma said she has over 100 for the kids to find. These wonderful colored eggs will wind up on our dinner table a couple of nights from now as deviled egg sandwiches, deviled eggs, and maybe a colorful spinach salad will get the treatment.

I have pretty much outgrown this tradition but still the Paas calls to me and I put down my 99 cents and a fun afternoon is on for the kids! This year I struck the jackpot and our 99 cents box had two sets of dye so we are all ready for next year.....bring it on! Maybe it will not be quite so early and we will get more creative.

Fortune from today's lunch...

PLAN TO HAVE FUN

We laughed at this since it kinda defeats the whole purpose of fun. Why should you plan it? Maybe next weeks fortune will be better!

Happy St. Patrick's Day....

Grandma and Kyle bought new Green shirts at Disneyland and show off their Mickey pride!!!!
"Green is so last year!" says Savannah. She was happy to wear green beads too.
Brother and sister Hug.
Grandma pulling out the once a year corn beef and cabbage, with potatoes, and carrots.
Uncle Michael tries a two toddler hold. Joseph and Savannah put him to the test since they are both growing so much.

St. Patrick's Day for us is a wearin' of green and corn beef and cabbage kinda day. It would not be the same without it. Everyone comes to Grandma and Papa's house to eat their fill of it and well......we will be back next year! We had yummy cupcakes with shamrock sprinkles for dessert too!!!!

A girls only weekend.....

Savannah after her bath on Saturday.....we are going to go shopping!
Yesp, she is cute as a cupcake and we could just eat her up!!!! She is pretty sweet too!

Those Baby Blues get us every time....people in stores etc. always comment about her eyes. They have stayed pretty much the same since she was born and hopefully, they will be as sparkly and bright as they are now for her lifetime!
Too much shopping and partying! See we even get to touch the remote when they are gone.....she was watching Cutting Edge 2 I think the ice skating movie since she wants to learn how to ice skate......not until she is 3 though! Notice the night-night. She always sleeps after she gets one and folds it the way she wants it to be.

Being funny in the bath today....she put these bubbles on her hair to be a snowman and go snowboarding like Daddy and Kyle.

Clark and Kyle went snowboarding for the first time with boy scouts. Kyle and his friend Seby had to plan the menu and go buy the food with their dads to earn part of a merit badge. They are home and not champion snowboarders by any means. Sound like they had a lot of fun and would go again.

Since they were gone it was a girls only Saturday at our house and what do girls do when the boys are gone....we SHOP! We went to Babies R Us and Toys R Us and Target and Ross! Fun additions to Savannah's spring wardrobe and an Easter dress too. Nothing like waiting until the last minute for me but Easter is sooo early this year. Hopefully, we will get all the cold out before Saturday and the sunshine will be out.

On Sunday, we got up early to go to swimming lessons at the Y. It is nice that it is at 9 a.m. and you don't really need to get ready to go just put the swimsuit on and go but at the same time you have to come home and shower since you smell like a giant chlorine monster! I had to do the lessons since Daddy was gone and it was not too bad. I came home wet since it is only 5 minutes in the car. Clark told me I have to do it 2 more times due to boy scouts!!!!! I have to get more pictures and video before it is over and no class next week so the last class I will be able to take pictures when Clark gets in with her.

Kyle and Clark will be off to Taiko soon....another Sunday night tradition in our house. Sensei is coming so it will be a long night of practice.

Easter Bunny Pics not a success!

Okay, I hoped that since just the two of us went Miss S would throw me a bone and take a picture and off to McDonald's or wherever she wanted to go eat dinner! NOT! We went once and tried but she would only do it if she sat on my lap and all the pictures looked like we were torturing her. We took a break and went to the post office for stamps, looked around Crazy 8's, went to the Kitty Hello store (that is what she calls it) and bought a way overpriced egg thing that she is holding in the picture. I told her she could not open it until she took a picture. Back to Mommy on the bench by the bunny and our white trash bunny picture is done.....notice the fan in the background. I know the bunny can get hot but it is a little tacky! It also kinda looks like the bunny is trying to run away!!!!!!! My hand looks so out of place, kinda like the Bunny grew a Human hand or Savannah is a creature with 3 arms! hahaha! Oh yah and we left $40 there too for this lovely memory. Next year she will be 3 and I think bribes will work better then.....

No mascara until you are 14!!!!!!

Savannah at 29 months. I was getting the camera and told her we were going to take our monthly picture in the rocking chair. She ran off and I thought nothing of it until she came back looking like this! Yep, into my makeup drawer in the bathroom and she decorated herself. Beautiful don't you think?!!!
Maybe we can sign her up to model for Almay! That is what she got into....I am thinking I have some reorganization to be doing in the bathroom and moving all makeup into a container. I guess this is much better then when I was almost 3 and decorated myself with lipstick!
Here is our pose of the month. Kinda a little attitude but so her at this time. I can't wait to see what the next month brings!

More Disneyland

Daddy and Savannah take a turn on DUMBO! Fly high!
Savannah says hi to Minnie and then takes a peek at her house and frig! She has lots of cheese!
Who bought this for her? Grandma, of course!!! Look at her eyes-it says it all.....I got what I want! Yummy Mickey ears with white chocolate.
Almost time to go home ( for 3 of us...Savannah gets to stay another day with Grandma and fly home) so a quick picture of all of us!
Until next time Bye Tinker Bell!!!!!!!
