Happy Halloween!

Here is Rosetta fairy! A friend of Tinkerbelle, she is the fairy in charge of the flowers in Pixie Hollow!
Rosetta needed to get her wings on and over to her friend Anabella's birthday party. It was on Halloween!!! So much fun and so many things to do...like pin the tail on the black cat, pass the pumpkin and pinata!

Here are Tinkerbelle and Rosetta...BFF's forever! Their wings were pretty much flying upside down after about 5 minutes so we took them off. They could run just as fast as flying!

After Anabella's party we took a quick trip over to surprise Great Grandma! She was surprised that the fairy Rosetta knew where she lives! All of the people that live in Great Grandma's place were happy to see our little fairy friend too.
See even when the wings are upside down it looks cute! Rosetta fairy and some flowers she kissed to make them grow big and strong and colorful!

Then it was time for Alice in Wonderland to appear!!! Without Rosetta making all the flowers beautiful that day Alice would have never found her way home! Alice decided to go trick or treating!

Alice with her treat bag and carved pumpkin ready to go and get some candy!

Alice trick or treatin' among the flowers!

We walked over to see what Uncle Michael had done to his front yard. He loves Halloween and since it was on Saturday had most of the day to make it look great!!!!

Looks like this guy was anxious to roll over someone trying to get some treats!
We had a great Halloween. Kyle had an all day wrestling tournament in Gilroy and came home wiped out. He was 5-1 for the day but lost to the team that held the tournament. His school took 2nd place. We had a fun time at Anabella's birthday party and it was nice to have something to do instead of waiting all day for the trick or treating to begin. Savannah went to some houses but since we walked to Uncle Michaels house we spent more time walking around then actual trick or treatin'. We went to the Taylors on the way home and the girls played more and then walked home with us and picked up a few more candy items! Most of it is still in Savannah's bag but I noticed Kyle was helping her eat it up!

Savannah's jokes

Today I am thankful for Savannah's not so funny jokes, she makes us laugh at them and I know that she gets the concept! I think they will improve with time. It amazes me at some of the stuff she finds hilarious......hamsters who fart, dogs that talk and do tricks, people slipping on a banana peel and more.

Pumpkin Carving

Savannah is excited to get to use the cool skeleton scooper thing to get the pumpkin seeds out. That is until she declares it is yucky and "Daddy can you please do it for me?" Of course Daddy took over the cleaning out of the pumpkin!
Kyle decides to just dig the knife in and just go for it. He looks very intense here!

See in no way is she touching that stuff....this was all a planned pcture after I promised it wouldn't get on her hands! So girly!!

I have about 50 pictures of this!!! This was a crazy pumpkin carving dance around the backyard dance that lasted until it got dark. Since she has turned 4, we have been getting lots of funny stuff out of her! Dancing, jokes, way more pretending and so much more....can't wait to see what she brings out each day!

Kyle trying to figure out the dremel pumpkin carver that Grandma bought him. Still happy to see the smiles!

Two more intense people! Savannah told Clark what she wanted for the eye....one star and one regular! They also did the nose and then I carved out the mouth with teeth.

We need Mickey Mouse shaped ears on the side!

Okay Daddy, this is what I need.....she doesn't have the magic finger yet but her hands are Italian!!!
Kyle still figuring out what he wants to do and trying to get the hang of it. It looked pretty good and he was happy with the results so that's all that matters!

DONE!!! We did these on Friday night the night before Halloween. Fun stuff and two pumpkins are the perfect amount for people who don't like to touch the yucky stuff!!!

Today...

Today I am thankful for getting to spend the day with Savannah....it is girls only shopping day!

Today I am thankful for....

Today I am thankful for being able to know my grandparents and to know my kids have awesome relationships with their grandparents too!

Thanks Mom for all you and Dad do to make time for the kids and to make sure they all have their special alone time with you. I know they have many things they love about you but they don't always say it! Going on trips with us, having family dinners and BBQ's, Gingerbread Houses, Ranch time with Papa, playing board games, reading stories, making sure they always have cute clothes and shoes!, pumpkin patch trips, taking them to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and then lunch at Bubba Gumps, and sharing in the magic of each season!!! Plus about 1 million other reasons. We are all thankful that we are close and share so much!

A special kind of note......

Today I am not thankful for getting a parking ticket in Mt. View!!! So lame that cities even issue parking tickets! More lame that I was happy to find a spot and then thought someone left me a note when I came back to the car...haha! saw the 2 hour limit sign behind my car after I got the $30 ticket. They should post those signs every 2 feet for lameo's like me!

Today I am thankful for....

"A challenge that has been issued. It is, every day this month until Thanksgiving, think of one thing that you are thankful for and post it as your status. "Today I am thankful for..." Now if you think you can do it then repost this message as your status to invite others to take the challenge, then post what YOU are thankful for today?"

This was my post yesterday on Facebook. I think it is a great idea so as I post what I am thankful for each day I will add it here too! Please add what you are thankful for too!

Today I am thankful for.......my wonderful family and friends!

Boy Scout Halloween Party 2009

Kyle's troop always has a Halloween Party for the siblings and other cub scouts in our area. Savannh went as a Minnie witch and Bella was Tinkerbelle. They were excited to stand by Hannah Montana! Neither one of them won a prize but they had fun playing and eating some treats.
My Elvis scout son! He had a busy day with school a winning wrestling match and then home for dinner and a shower and then off to this party. The busy life of a 13 year old boy!

The girls at the end of the party! Fun stuff and they will be back next year ready to party again!

Halloween T-shirts - Girls Day Out!

We went to Michaels to do their Halloween craft of the day. You had to buy a shirt and then they helped you decorate it! When we first got there, my mom and Rebecca had been told it was a no go at this store and they would need to go to another store. I know my mom complained but then when Barb and I showed up with the kids and I started complaining that it does not say select stores only or in any way shape or form indicate that we had to travel to another store the lady said okay....give me 5 minutes and I will set something up for you. They did and all was good in Michaels land again!!! Here is Julienna starting her shirt.
Kyle does not want to make a shirt but he is willing to help Julienna out with some design help and painting help. Afterwards we said he should have bought a green shirt and painted on a Frankenstein head.

Rebeeca was the only one to paint her hands black and make a spider on her shirt. They then made a web and added glow in the dark accents!

Savannah picked a simple ghost design and we were done in no time...yes, I was anal and picked up one of Kyle's shirts that already had paint on it....we can't mess up our girly clothes you know!

Grandma and Rebecca watch as the web get BIGGER!

More art work after Julienna's discussion with Kyle.

Anabella's shirt! Barb worked hard on it and Bella kept wanting her to add more things.

Savannah's finished product! Savannah was actually tired of wearing Halloween clothes and complained about it on Halloween day! She will wear this shirt soon and then I will put it away until next year! She will be so happy to see it again and maybe not complain about wearing Halloween clothes to kindergarten!
All in all it was a perfect girls day out and lots of fun for only $2.50!! We will probably do more crafts at Michaels and stick to the larger store that always does the fun stuff!

Time for a check up!

After our pumpkin patch adventure and awesome weather we had a Storm! It was raining most of the evening and in the morning. I had my camera with me and tried to capture the HUGEST rainbow on the way to work but this was not a great angle to take the picture. It was as big as any rainbow in Hawaii for sure!
Savannah waiting for her 4 year old check up. Since she is relatively not sick often we only come to the dr. office when it is her yearly checkup and it is always decorated wonderfully for Halloween!
Nurse Kathy calls us in and we stop at the scale to weigh in at 41 pounds!

Next we get her height check and 40 1/2 inches! We knew she was this tall for the rides at Disneyland!

Nurse Kathy checks her blood pressure. I think this is the first time she had it checked like this but knows that is what happens to Grandma and Papa when she goes with them to the dr.

An eye test that we are not sure about! She could not make her hand go the way she wanted to and would just put whatever out there! I think it is because she has not decied to be left or right handed. It helped once I held the paddle over her eye.

The hearing test. Another not sure test....she seemed to hear fine and just not tell us right away but the smile gave it away every time!

Listening for the beep!

All in all our girl is perfect in everyway! She ended up with 4 shots and was fine until the last one which Nurse Kathy said would sting. She ended up with an awful bruise on one arm but other then that was fine and after a few tears was happy to get a lollipop and go to Kohls with Grandma! Dr. R said he would call us for the flu shot when it comes in and if nothing else would see us for a school TB test in March or April and then a 5 year check next year!

Pumpkin Patch!

My favorite fall outing!!! The Pumpkin Patch! We have been going to the same one since Kyle was 7 months old! It has grown a lot since we first starting coming but so has he! Our 6'1'' boy!!! We met everyone at Sweet Tomatoes for the breakfast buffet which was pretty good and the kids ate for free!
and our Pumpkin Princess! Not wanting to pose but we made her do it! Gotta give in to Mommy's pleas!

very cool stuff here so we all checked it out!

Savannah thought it might taste good. We just looked and felt it and moved on......

What a funny name for a pumpkin! They were pretty cool to touch and Papa probably would love to carve one of these!

Almost Disneyland...not!!! but here are some Cinderella pumpkins!

Savannah and Anabella pose with a scarecrow friend! Love all the fall colors in this picture!

Posing on a pumpkin! Should have made Kyle take one like this too but I think he is getting to be too cool for the patch!
Savannah shows Rose and Ree how it's done! Just walk backwards and plop down on one that looks like a stool!

The girls were all wondering about these sort of pumpkin things....

They were probably most interesting since they did look like an egg but also the perfect size for little hand to pick up and play with!

Riding the Lulu Belle car in the cow train. We laughed because Rose picked to ride the Rosebud cow!

Our traditional hold the camera and smile pose! Kyle and I have these at a million places! I should make a collage of all the places we take these each year! I never post them or know what to do with them but hey, I made it in another picture on the blog! HA!!! I also look like a freakin' Twilight ghost person! Man, should I join a tanning salon or what?!!

Aunt Jackie was thrilled to join us on the Corn Hay Ride! It was bery bumpy so no pics here!

Julienna and Kyle refresh themselves with a lime snow cone....this is what the big kids were doing while the little kids went on the train!
Hello from the train! Aunt Jackie wanted to try this out too! The kids have to train her to be a cool mom and do all this stuff!

Bella and Savannah on the enchanted hay ride....this was actually hay and quite bumpy too!!

Lots of sunflowers to see. Wish they were blooming better! You can see the Blue sky though and the great weather we were having on this day! It had Rained a TON earlier in the week so we were lucky to go out between storms and get our fill of vitamin D!

Marigold fields....kinda reminds me of the Wizard of Oz! but then again maybe I am wrong about the flowers...We always watch the Wizard of Oz at Michael and Tina's on Thanksgiving.

Aunt Jackie and Uncle Jason pose with the kids...they forgot their camera so see we have to train them to be great parents before they have their kids! The little cousins are ready for some new babies though so they better get crackin!

The kids were all doing some crazy dancing to the Mariachi's!!

Someone is getting a little tired and takes a break with dad!

The little girls take a tour of Bootsie the Bee and Storybook path. Since I hogged the hay rides I let Clark take the girls and the camera! Good job Clark!

See, he knows he better get a group shot too!

Everyone had lots of fun at the Patch and we are all relaxing and enjoying the company! It was a great day and a great turnout of wonderful friends and family!!! See one of my favorite fall days!!

After the patch we went to Aunt Jackie and Uncle Jason's house to see their dogs and horses. The kids ran around and had a great time while the adults talked and enjoyed the company! We went home to our precooked crock pot dinner of BBQ chicken with apples and bacon it was yummy good! It was cooking all day so our house smelled great and was easy to finish with rice in the rice cooker and a salad! Great family fall fun day!
