Legoland!!!

I should have Kyle give a report since I really know nothing about their day. The kids loved it and Kyle had a wonderful time taking pictures of all the Lego town area.

Savannah got to drive the safari jeep and also the Lego car. My dad said it is hilarious that they let 3 year olds drive the little cars who have no experience. Most of the time the guys have to go out on the track and rescue the kids! Been a long time since we visited but we will probably go back in the next few years and have more fun!

Beach Days in San Diego!

Break from the theme park days and the kids and Grandma and Papa hit up the beach!
Kyle loves to be buried in the sand. He is making his spot.

Digging and relaxing is a favorite of both of them.

Papa took Savannah to the water.

Elmo rides....

Getting closer to being buried!

Not at the KFC!!!!!

Okay, I was not going to post it but it was so crazy I just have to. I needed to pick up some dog food after work today so I told my mom I would go after work and then also pick up dinner for everyone. I asked her in the morning what she wanted and she said she didn't care but then called me back and said hey, we want to try the grilled KFC chicken. I said ok. We hardly ever eat KFC since Clark does not like it. He says it makes him sick.

Did the dog food thing, stopped at Walgreens for a few school supplies and misc. stuff on sale. Had a young checkout dude and he was impressed with my coupon shopping! $60 stuff for $23 out the door! woohoo not my best but pretty decent for what I got.

Off to the KFC. I was glad there were a couple of people in front of me so I could figure out what to order. Noticed my cashier's cool purple eyeshadow and noticed it matched her hair dye too! Figured her to be pretty young. While I was waiting for my food, my cashier was talking to her friend and boyfriend and then said hey, my dad is behind you. The friend said hi to her dad and then they moved to get their drinks. She says hi dad. He says hi back and she said oh I wanted to talk to you. He said really? and she said yah, your going to be a grandpa!......this guy was probably my age and he was with a chick that was probably his girlfriend but definately not the girls mother........the dad said come on you are kidding right? and the cashier says no, I'm sure! The dad opened his wallet and pulled out a hundred dollar bill and handed it to her. She gave it back to him and said no I'm serious. The dad was in total shock I think and then his girlfriend made him order! Weird family moment at the KFC!!! The dad ended up giving her the money again and I'm not sure what else. The KFC manager chick looked at me and smiled I think we both were thinking WTH?????could you have told him later or maybe took a break or something????

Oh to be young........I was driving home and so thinking to myself that I hope that never happens to Clark! It would not be a nice scene at the KFC.....first since he really doesn't like to eat there and second he probably would have pulled her over the counter and thrown her over his shoulder and home they would have went!

Missing my guys while they are at summer camp but there is still the same amount of food around my house. No one has drained the Crystal Light Pitcher and put it back in the fridge with 1/2 oz of liquid, forgotten to change the toilet paper roll, changed the channel while I was watching t.v., kicked me off the computer or given me the wonderful bear hugs and kisses that they do when they are around! Savannah and I will be happy to have them home for a bit and then we will go back to our routine!

Sea World

Savannah is up and ready to go to San Diego and see Shamu!
Grandma and Savannah self portrait at the Shamu show.

Looking for Shamu and the dolphins.......Notice they are far away from the Splash Zone!

Papa and Kyle during the show.

Watching someone get ready for a fishy kiss. They said they had a great time and were able to see almost all the shows in one day. Papa and Kyle went on the Atlantis ride and got soaked to the bone. Said it took them most of the day to get dry again. Savannah loved the animal shows and kid rides too!

More fun with Grandma and Papa!

My kids having fun on the giant letters outside California Adventure. Too bad they are going to remove the letters soon. I enjoy seeing the kids with the candy corn letters and the peppermint ones at Christmas. One time we were there and they changed them over night!
Kyle walking Savannah around the Disneyland Hotel and showing her the koi fish. This was one of his favorite things to do when he was her age and we stayed here. We got to feed them on more then one trip and I think Kyle will probably want to bring his own kids here.

The big waterfall at the Disneyland Hotel.

Savannah's favorite Miss Minnie at Goofy's Kitchen. The kids LOVE to eat here and my parents seem to love it to so they went to dinner after we left them on the June trip.

WOW! Kyle is getting so tall. He is as tall as the characters now! My dad said that Chip was hilarious at dinner. He took Kyle's lanyard and put it on himself and then walked away. Kyle was flustered and did not know what to do. Still at 13 loves the characters but tries to be cool and says he loves the food!! He was happy when he got his pass back!

Happy Number Day!

At dinnertime tonight, I asked Kyle what was special about today's date. He claimed to not know and then Clark said he did not know either........I told them it was a cool day to be born.....

07-08-09

Seven, Eight, Nine!!!!

Clark said he probably wrote the date 10, 000 times today and did not notice. I noticed the first thing I did. I guess he is not number aware!

Nothing exciting happened today but just wanted to post on this special day!

Watch out for a Ragamuffin on the loose.....

This one was so interested in seeing me water in the front yard she ran to put some clothes on and this is the outfit she came up with.....
Scary 3 year old....of course, I was hoping none of the neighbors would see her in this outfit but sure enough we had a couple of drive by's and one family walking home from the park.

With this smile it is hard to resist the Ragamuffin!

Belly baring and boot wearing! Maybe I should send this picture in to the Glamour Magazine do's and don'ts.....this will be a DONT!

We will leave you with this genie in a bottle sort of dance and I promise the ragamufin on the loose will become her usual bow wearing, matchy matchy outfit wearing 3 year old will be back tomorrow!

Happy 91st Birthday Great Grandma!

We had a wonderful time celebrating the Fourth of July and my Grandma's 91st Birthday. It is nice that it is always on a day off for everyone and my mom always puts out a great spread of food! Salad and Berries!
Meat and bread and the traditional pot stickers! HA! We also had Deep fried Turkey. It was good and juicy. We ended up eating a little bit later then planned due to the size of the huge turkey but all was fine and we were able to visit and enjoy more!

Clark and Savannah swimming and having a good time during the party.

After swimming someone decided to become a PIRATE!! She loves the pirate ship that I got for Grandma and Papa's but she also is probably the only 3 year old that has watched all the Pirate of the Caribbean movies multiple times. She knows all about Jack Sparrow and loves the ride at Disneyland too.

Grandma with her gift I designed. I had everyone do their hand print in birth/spouse order and it goes as follows:
Ray, Mom, Dad
Ron, Kris, Kristina, Clark
Michael, Tina, Scott , Catalina
Kyle, Rebecca, Savannah, Joseph
We had my Grandma do her hand in white paint over the stars so she too could be included. Michael and Scott were not able to come to the party so I made them come over to my mom's and stamp their hands out. I'm not sure what my Grandma will do with the canvas but I hope that someday some of the kids will fight over this family project! I think she will enjoy looking at everyone's hand print and if it makes her smile at least once it was worth it. Another thing we found interesting is the family similarities.

My Grandma's hand.....with all the work and scars her life has brought.

Savannah and Grandma get ready to blow out your candles. It was a yummy carrot cake with apricot mousse filling.

All of us are done and ready to give her the gift.....

My kids doing a smiley Fourth of July picture!

Savannah, Great Grandma and Kyle posing on her birthday with her fabulous birthday Mickey Mouse ears!

Happy Fourth of July!

We were invited by Savannah's friends "the twins" to celebrate Fourth of July at the Siver Creek Country Club on the 3rd. We went to have some BBQ and watch the fireworks.
Kisses for her big brother who she adores!!! He seems to eat it up too!

They look good in Red, White and Blue. Clark and I actually matched too but we were waiting for Clark to get ready here so just taking some shots on the porch...Should have tried for a family shot at the party!

Less smiles because she is so excited and can't wait to see her buddies!

Marie, Rose and Savannah getting ready to play the tennis game. Thank goodness there was a nice young guy to help them out. After they hit the ball over the net they went to get a prize....that was crazy since other kids were still hitting and you let little girls look at all the prizes and it is pretty much like shopping at a store....so much to look at and so many things to touch!

Savannah's turn to hit......

The Prize Pick up!

A flag butterfly! That's what she asked for and pretty much the girl did a good job!

Chillin in the grass eating dinner....she polished off the giant fruit cup in about 2 seconds and then enjoyed her Doritos! She gladly gave up her hot dog to Kyle.

Kyle enjoying his hamburger. It was great for Kyle ....all food was purchased with a ticket. He was always willing to go stand in line for a drink, popcorn, ice cream or whatever else anyone wanted. He had his own stack of tickets and loved to be able to get whatever he wanted!
After the clubhouse event, we walked down to the golf course and got a great spot. It was so much fun to let the kids run around and enjoy their light sticks, once the music and fireworks started everyone oohed and ahhed and it was a great show! Perfect weather, fun friends, good food and more made it one of our favorite family nights in a while! The fireworks were over around 10 and then we walked back to the car said goodbyes and waited for the traffic to die down a bit before heading home!
Celebrating Great Grandma's 91st birthday today so more fun with the family!!
Hope you have a safe and family and friend filled holiday!!!!
