Time for a check up!

After our pumpkin patch adventure and awesome weather we had a Storm! It was raining most of the evening and in the morning. I had my camera with me and tried to capture the HUGEST rainbow on the way to work but this was not a great angle to take the picture. It was as big as any rainbow in Hawaii for sure!
Savannah waiting for her 4 year old check up. Since she is relatively not sick often we only come to the dr. office when it is her yearly checkup and it is always decorated wonderfully for Halloween!
Nurse Kathy calls us in and we stop at the scale to weigh in at 41 pounds!

Next we get her height check and 40 1/2 inches! We knew she was this tall for the rides at Disneyland!

Nurse Kathy checks her blood pressure. I think this is the first time she had it checked like this but knows that is what happens to Grandma and Papa when she goes with them to the dr.

An eye test that we are not sure about! She could not make her hand go the way she wanted to and would just put whatever out there! I think it is because she has not decied to be left or right handed. It helped once I held the paddle over her eye.

The hearing test. Another not sure test....she seemed to hear fine and just not tell us right away but the smile gave it away every time!

Listening for the beep!

All in all our girl is perfect in everyway! She ended up with 4 shots and was fine until the last one which Nurse Kathy said would sting. She ended up with an awful bruise on one arm but other then that was fine and after a few tears was happy to get a lollipop and go to Kohls with Grandma! Dr. R said he would call us for the flu shot when it comes in and if nothing else would see us for a school TB test in March or April and then a 5 year check next year!

Pumpkin Patch!

My favorite fall outing!!! The Pumpkin Patch! We have been going to the same one since Kyle was 7 months old! It has grown a lot since we first starting coming but so has he! Our 6'1'' boy!!! We met everyone at Sweet Tomatoes for the breakfast buffet which was pretty good and the kids ate for free!
and our Pumpkin Princess! Not wanting to pose but we made her do it! Gotta give in to Mommy's pleas!

very cool stuff here so we all checked it out!

Savannah thought it might taste good. We just looked and felt it and moved on......

What a funny name for a pumpkin! They were pretty cool to touch and Papa probably would love to carve one of these!

Almost Disneyland...not!!! but here are some Cinderella pumpkins!

Savannah and Anabella pose with a scarecrow friend! Love all the fall colors in this picture!

Posing on a pumpkin! Should have made Kyle take one like this too but I think he is getting to be too cool for the patch!
Savannah shows Rose and Ree how it's done! Just walk backwards and plop down on one that looks like a stool!

The girls were all wondering about these sort of pumpkin things....

They were probably most interesting since they did look like an egg but also the perfect size for little hand to pick up and play with!

Riding the Lulu Belle car in the cow train. We laughed because Rose picked to ride the Rosebud cow!

Our traditional hold the camera and smile pose! Kyle and I have these at a million places! I should make a collage of all the places we take these each year! I never post them or know what to do with them but hey, I made it in another picture on the blog! HA!!! I also look like a freakin' Twilight ghost person! Man, should I join a tanning salon or what?!!

Aunt Jackie was thrilled to join us on the Corn Hay Ride! It was bery bumpy so no pics here!

Julienna and Kyle refresh themselves with a lime snow cone....this is what the big kids were doing while the little kids went on the train!
Hello from the train! Aunt Jackie wanted to try this out too! The kids have to train her to be a cool mom and do all this stuff!

Bella and Savannah on the enchanted hay ride....this was actually hay and quite bumpy too!!

Lots of sunflowers to see. Wish they were blooming better! You can see the Blue sky though and the great weather we were having on this day! It had Rained a TON earlier in the week so we were lucky to go out between storms and get our fill of vitamin D!

Marigold fields....kinda reminds me of the Wizard of Oz! but then again maybe I am wrong about the flowers...We always watch the Wizard of Oz at Michael and Tina's on Thanksgiving.

Aunt Jackie and Uncle Jason pose with the kids...they forgot their camera so see we have to train them to be great parents before they have their kids! The little cousins are ready for some new babies though so they better get crackin!

The kids were all doing some crazy dancing to the Mariachi's!!

Someone is getting a little tired and takes a break with dad!

The little girls take a tour of Bootsie the Bee and Storybook path. Since I hogged the hay rides I let Clark take the girls and the camera! Good job Clark!

See, he knows he better get a group shot too!

Everyone had lots of fun at the Patch and we are all relaxing and enjoying the company! It was a great day and a great turnout of wonderful friends and family!!! See one of my favorite fall days!!

After the patch we went to Aunt Jackie and Uncle Jason's house to see their dogs and horses. The kids ran around and had a great time while the adults talked and enjoyed the company! We went home to our precooked crock pot dinner of BBQ chicken with apples and bacon it was yummy good! It was cooking all day so our house smelled great and was easy to finish with rice in the rice cooker and a salad! Great family fall fun day!

A Very Merry 4th Birthday!

Good morning our BIG GIRL of 4 years old! We were putting all the finishing touches on her party tent when she woke up!
Kyle comes in to give the Birthday girl a big Squeeze! So wonderful how much these two love each other. I really am so lucky that they do not bug or annoy each other!

Wanted her to hold up 4 fingers to show how old she was and this is what I got! Silly girl!

Again, even after I showed her what I wanted but at the same time soooo Savannah!

Flower cupcakes / cake! These were strawberry flavor with strawberry frosting and yellow sparkles! I also made some funfetti ones, lemon with vanilla, chocolate with chocolate and white cupcakes with sprinkles! Very yummy and they all tasted pretty good too! Much better then the ones I usually buy at the store!

Trays of goodies for the tea party are ready!

Roses waiting to be painted red! This was Grandma's idea and she made these little boxes and made all the cakes! She is crafty if she wants to be!! Ha Ha!

Rose and Anabella are making a fun bead bracelet for themselves or their Mommy. I think all the mommies had one by the time the party was over! Savannah took care of me too and I have a very colorful one!

Can't have a Banks Family party without the fabulous candy buffet! The kids love it and so do the adults. I toned this one down a bit but made fancy chocolate covers with the letter "s" or "4" on them! Yummy stuff....I think evertone made a to go bag of candy!

Tea cups and pitchers and tea pot ready for the munchkins!

More table stuff and a little bit of our tent!

Our resident Mad Hatter! Kyle was a HUGE help as always and he had fun too!

Anabela playing ring toss. The little kids had fun playing this even if they got none on the top hat man.

Playing pass the tea cup! Kyle played Miley Cyrus music "Party in the USA" and then stopped it . If you had the tea cup you were out and had to come pick a prize out of the giant tea cup! The kids kept the tea cup because they wanted to be out and pick out a prize. Much easier then musical chairs for the little ones...no crying!!! ;)

Little kid food! Pasta, Sliders, mini corn dogs, bagel bite pizzas, jello jigglers, sandwiches in peanut butter and jelly, cheese, and Savannah's special favorite of cream cheese and cucmber!

Alice on a lunch break! She was having lots of fun and enjoying spending time with her friends. They all were drinking either apple juice or ice tea or pink lemonade!

Alice looks to be telling everyone what to do! I know the jello was a HUGE hit!

The twins eating some jello and other luch fare!

Marie made a robot mask!

Savannah picked out this giant cupcake cake for her birthday. I used this cake later for the family party since I made a ton of the cupcakes....no one complained that I didn't cut into this cake!

Smiles from Anabella! She made herself a pretty bead necklace too!

Savannah's buddy L.B. who came all the way from Colorado! Yep, he was here with his mommy for a wedding and they were able to make the party too! They grow up so fast! This is her ring bearer friend from last year too!

Mekhi give me a handsome smile! I think the boys had just as much fun as the girls!

The cupcake cake with the crazy candles she picked out!

Singing Happy Birthday to you!

More friends and family!

Mommy quickly got a picture of the crowd! So many people that love and care about Savannah. Everyone is very special to us and we love all of them so much!

Mary-Mia, Daddy and the twins. Their daddy was off to Paris to go to Disneyland Paris so he got a pass on coming to the party! We are glad our buddies stayed home but would love to go to Paris with our friends and show the French people how CA girls like to party!

Uncle Scott saying good bye.

Opening gifts with Anabella. We had each child sit with Savannah in the big chair to watch her open their gifts! It worked out pretty good. Just takes a long time and there is always should we or should we not open the gifts. I know Savannah likes to see what her friends think of her gift especially if it is something she picked out or wants for herself!

Julienna had a soccer game but made it in time to eat something and watch the gifts being opened too.

The twins were sooooo excited. They are 4 days older then Savannah and had their party the week before but had relatives from out of town visiting and more partying all week! 4 years old is going to be a great year for all of them!

Jaden who is one year younger then Savannah happily takes our hand me downs and calls Savannah her cousin! She also traveled from Sacramento. I really wished we lived closer to see them more and spend more time with them! It is our turn to go see them now!

Gianna helping Savannah open her gifts. We have know Gianna's mommy for so long! Gianna's Papa and our Papa are buddies and love to talk to each other at the girly parties. I think as long as we have good food they will still be willing to come and keep each other company!

Marie and Rose find a comfy spot to watch all the action and see what toys they might need to add to their collection at home!

Mekhi not quite sure if the present is too girly for him! They were beautiful Alice in Wonderland tea cup water globes. Savannah loves to look and shake them with help from mom or dad! Wonderful way to have her remember her Wonderland Party!

LB-he did not want to come sit with Savannah because he gave her GIRL STUFF! YUCK! So funny but he still gave a nice hug!

Aunt Jackie scored with funky tights and two pairs of boot.....kitty hello rain boots and furry pink suede boots!!! They were a big HIT!

Teresa also stuck with the kitty hello (yes, this is always the way she says it!!!) outfit that is so cute and sparkly! The other girls loved the "diamonds" on it and all had to touch and feel it!

Jaden's sister Kaylee getting some rocking time with her Grandma Maria! She is so cute and you just want to take a pinch of her baby cheeks and legs!

We cleaned up from the day party and had Great Grandma and Uncle Ray and Ron And Kris come over for dinner that night. They are not soo keen on coming to the kids party. Rebecca had a karate tournament and missed the day party and I wanted to make sure she got to celebrate too!

Grandma brought us a Cheshire Cat from Disneyland...he watched the party from the front bushes. Smiling the whole time!

Butterfly hanging in the tent

My tissue paper pom poms that I made while watching t.v. at night. Imade 15 of them and everyone loved how they looked. Now that I am an expert I will make more to match other party decor!

My signs and decorations in the "woods" The lollipop is from her first birthday party so out of the garage it came. It might become our hidden Mickey at future birthday parties!

Pin the smile on the Cheshire cat...the kids had a great time and no one cared if they were the closest or not! Great age!!!!!

Here is Kyle's drawing! He did this free hand and then colored it in one night! Drawing is one of his favorite things to do!

Blowing out the candles again! Our little Alice had a very merry birthday thanks to her friends and family that came to help her celebrate! Mommy is happy that she had so much fun and that she looked so much like a true Alice! I need to start planning the next one....it is never too early to come up with a theme and start!!!

Happy 4th Birthday Savannah!
