Disneyland for Kyle's 12th Birthday!

Grandma and Kyle Fight the Evil Emperor ZURG!!! Grandma actually beat Savannah this time! Go Grandma!
Rose and Savannah check in with Pooh for breakfast and see if he needs some honey! Savannah saves all her honey for Papa!
Savannah and Marie check out Casey Jr. Circus Train-they both loved that it went F-A-S-T!!!!! I think I can.
All tuckered out-we went to Princess Story time and made the crown then a lollipop was needed to make someone in a better mood. Yep, she is still holding it in her hand.......notice the green ring pop! Sleeping Beauty Savannah! Night-Night!

Crazy Hair Day!

Kyle had crazy hair day at school and since we were leaving for Disneyland before school was over (bad parents that we are we pulled him out about an hour early!) I told him we were not going to spray it a crazy color. Last year he had cut his hair in a flat top so not much to do with it but color it! We tried about 4 different things before we went with my first suggestions of mini ponytails all over his head.......once he was at school he ended up spraying the top of the ponytails red. It was hilarious when we picked him up and then he took them out. His hair was still up and red!!!

He decided to wear a hat to Disneyland! The next morning he woke up and his hotel pillow was red where he had slept! Extra tip for the maid and we had a new pillow that night!

Our 12 year old boy!!!!!

Kyle ready for his big day!
Breakfast of Champions at McDonald's....minus the gross eggs on the Deluxe Breakfast platter.

Ice Cream from Red Robin

Joseph says Happy Birthday Kyle!

Daphne, Rebecca and Kyle all enjoyed the Raspberry Limeade! They must have ordered 10 of these by the end of the night.

Rebecca eats some fried cheese!!!

Julienna and Bella give Kyle a birthday hug!
Kyle had an awesome day, we went to breakfast, bought cupcakes for his class, green frosting with chocolate and yellow frosting with white cupcakes. He went to Taiko after school and I picked up Kyle and Daphne and off to Red Robin for dinner with family and friends. They sang to him and all the kids had a ice cream sundae. Went home and opened a couple more gifts and cards, played Dancing with the Stars at Grandma's on the Wii and watched American Idol. Pretty much a day any 12 year old would love........No big party this year but a trip to Disneyland for the weekend is what Kyle wanted to do. He will also pick out a new piece of art from us for his birthday. Hard to believe I only have 364 more days until we will have a teenager in the house!

Happy 12th Birthday Kyle!!!

Wow!!! 12.......hard to belive he is that old but at the same time he rocks and we love him to death!!!!

Bought him a shirt that says "I act like a 12 year old because I am!" He wanted it after I showed him it. Kinda hard for people to think he is 12 when he is 5'8" now and weighs 180 lbs!!! Yep, we meausred him for snowboarding next weekend and that is what he is! YIKES! He is still our baby though!( he would hate that I wrote that but oh well!)

Took him out to McDonald's for breakfast, went to buy cupcakes for his class and then off to school. He has Taiko after school so I left work early and picked up Daphne and Kyle and off to Red Robin for dinner. Michael, Tina, Rebecca, Joseph, Barb, Steve, Julienna, Anabella, and Grandma joined us for dinner. We had a good time and the kids all had ice cream after the Red Robin dudes sang Happy Birthday to him!

We are off to the Mecca this weekend. Miss S and Grandma leave tomorrow in the early a.m. and we will follow Friday after noon. Kyle's choice instead of a party and I think we are all just as excited.

Be our guest at Princess Wishes!

We went to Princess Wishes, Disney on Ice at the HP Arena today. We bought tickets for Julienna, Anabella, Barb, Rebecca and Grandma for Christmas. Sometimes it is hard to buy for the kids who have everything and I had such a great time with the girls when we went to High School Musical The Concert so thought this would be fun. Miss S loved it and clapped and danced in her seat. 2 is definately old enough to go and have lots of fun!!! It was all about Princess Wishes and they were short 2 song sections from Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella, it was hosted by Tinker Bell! Mickey, Minnie and Goofy were along for the ride....wow almost as many characters as we see at Disneyland!!!!!
Afterwards, we met Steve, Clark and Kyle at Aqui for a late lunch. It was yummy as always and was a great afternoon of girly fun! We will have to do it again soon.

Happy Leap Day!

Miss S and I just wanted to say Happy Leap Day! It is her very first one and I am sure she will be way more interested in it in four years! 2012...wow seems so far away but she will be in school and Kyle will almost be old enough to drive. YIKES!!! I'm sure he will be counting the days!

Off to Princess Wishes tomorrow. Disney On Ice has been getting our $$ for quite some time now and I'm sure we will be attending more in the future!

It was a Christmas gift I bought for Rebecca, Julienna, Bella and Grandma too! Nothing like being a few months later and having an extra gift. We are going to go out to lunch afterwards and enjoy some old fashioned girl fun!!!

Enjoy the rest of the leap day and imagine the difference 4 years will make!!!

$20 on number 5 please!

Conversations with kids always amaze me......here is a sample from Kyle the other night. We had gone to feed my Brother Michael's dog and then a quick trip to Walgreens (another happen' Saturday night -boy! don't be jealous anyone!) and on the way home Kyle asked me "Mom what did you want to be when you grew up?"
My answer was "In third grade, I decided to be a lawyer" why do you ask and he said they are having a show on t.v. about mom's and what their lives would have been like if they had taken the path that they chose early on. I said oh that sounds like a good show.

Kyle-"When did you decide to work at the gas station?"
Me-"Uhhh-I don't really work at a gas station.
Kyle-"yes, you work at the office of the gas station"
Kyle-"Okay if you could do anything what would it be?"
Me-"I would be a professional party and event planner"
Kyle- "Yah you are good at that."

Okay the kids had come to work with me on Friday and there are clearly no gas pumps, cigarettes, or Cheetos at my place of work and Britney Spears does not drive by nightly! I really gotta ask him what Clark does. Hopefully, he does something as cool as my job at the gas station!

Savannah quote of the day would be- Grandma we went to mommy's work and for lunch we went to the little window! My mom and I asked her again what she was saying and she said the little window again.........Figured it out and explained to my mom we had gone to the drive thru for lunch and did not get out at McD's just went to the drive thru part! I guess we will have to go to the little window again soon!
