Happy Leap Day!

Miss S and I just wanted to say Happy Leap Day! It is her very first one and I am sure she will be way more interested in it in four years! 2012...wow seems so far away but she will be in school and Kyle will almost be old enough to drive. YIKES!!! I'm sure he will be counting the days!

Off to Princess Wishes tomorrow. Disney On Ice has been getting our $$ for quite some time now and I'm sure we will be attending more in the future!

It was a Christmas gift I bought for Rebecca, Julienna, Bella and Grandma too! Nothing like being a few months later and having an extra gift. We are going to go out to lunch afterwards and enjoy some old fashioned girl fun!!!

Enjoy the rest of the leap day and imagine the difference 4 years will make!!!

Conversations with kids always amaze me......here is a sample from Kyle the other night. We had gone to feed my Brother Michael's dog and then a quick trip to Walgreens (another happen' Saturday night -boy! don't be jealous anyone!) and on the way home Kyle asked me "Mom what did you want to be when you grew up?"
My answer was "In third grade, I decided to be a lawyer" why do you ask and he said they are having a show on t.v. about mom's and what their lives would have been like if they had taken the path that they chose early on. I said oh that sounds like a good show.

Kyle-"When did you decide to work at the gas station?"
Me-"Uhhh-I don't really work at a gas station.
Kyle-"yes, you work at the office of the gas station"
Kyle-"Okay if you could do anything what would it be?"
Me-"I would be a professional party and event planner"
Kyle- "Yah you are good at that."

Okay the kids had come to work with me on Friday and there are clearly no gas pumps, cigarettes, or Cheetos at my place of work and Britney Spears does not drive by nightly! I really gotta ask him what Clark does. Hopefully, he does something as cool as my job at the gas station!

Savannah quote of the day would be- Grandma we went to mommy's work and for lunch we went to the little window! My mom and I asked her again what she was saying and she said the little window again.........Figured it out and explained to my mom we had gone to the drive thru for lunch and did not get out at McD's just went to the drive thru part! I guess we will have to go to the little window again soon!

Soccer Fun

A little fun at soccer today...we started 7 weeks ago and have had lots of fun. We will need to take a break and then figure out what we will do next. Miss S said she wants to ice skate but 3 is the earliest they will let them take a parent/tot class. Since neither of us knows how to ice skate we might have to look into something else.

After soccer we took Great-Grandma out for a little lunch at Macaroni Grill. She had spaghetti and meatballs since it is not a food they ever serve at her place. She is always happy to take a ride and enjoy our company for a bit. Sent her leftovers home for a snack for Kyle! He will be happy to polish them off.

We are celebrating the February birthday month at my parents tonight. All 3 of us have February birthdays but tonight is the first time everyone can get together. Michael was 37 on the 1st and Scott turned 32 on the 3rd....today is my last day of my 30's!!!! How weird is that. I was talking at work the other day and noting how when my parents turned 40 I was already 20! They were pretty much done with me and here I have a 2 year old! Wouldn't change it for the world! Will make my 40's more fun I figure! I will also be cradle robbing here until April 17th when Clark joins me!

Off to eat ribs and chocolate cake! YUMMY!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy hearts and flowers and hugs and kisses day!!

We will be celebrating with the usual cards and candy and small gifts for the kids. I decorated mailboxes for them and Cupid has been leaving them small gifts all week......Webkinz stuff and candy for Kyle and Miss S got some new bling bracelets and toys and candy too.

I really love the colors of Valentine's Day......pink, red, white and chocolate brown!

Since today is Thursday, we put Miss S in a pull-up, she keeps telling us she will be ready to use the potty on Thursday....Grandma bought her a new pink potty for our house so it will be set up and ready for her to use whenever she wants tonight. She called me at work today to tell me she went potty in it one time-for chocolate of course!

Kyle and I will be working on the never ending Science Fair project! It is due tomorrow so hopefully, he will do well on this project and we will not have to think about another one until Miss S hits 4th grade!! Nice that he will have winter break to relax and not think about the project.

Hope everyone gets to spend lots of time with their family and a little taste of chocolate too!

Post Number one!

Okay, here is the first post into blogland!

I choose the name of the blog because it is a favorite saying of Miss S. At 2 years old she amazes us every day and at the funniest times.....when she is supposed to be going to bed, when we are mad at her, when she doesn't want to eat her dinner or be at the table with us any longer - we can usually count to 5 and "What's your favorite color?" comes out! We laugh!

She remembers everyone's favorite color so don't try to switch on her or she will bust you!!! Right now my favorite color has changed from Pink to Pink flower.......I have no idea what color pink flower is but if I say anything else she corrects me and says "No, Mommy your favorite color is Pink Flower!!!!"

This will be our place to remember all of the funny and wonderful things that our kids bring to us every day.

Let's see if I can keep this up better then my scrapbooks!
