Cookies, Throw up and Nutcracker...Oh My!!!!

Thought I would throw in some pics of cuteness since this is NOT a cute story. Here she got her face painted in Disneyland at Pixie Hollow.
So happy to be glittery and girly!

The title pretty much sums up my day! I got up early and did some necessary shopping. Picked up the kids picture for my mom...it came out great and she now has the funky graduation pictures that are almost over 20 years old down!! Much nicer to see the grandkids instead of our larger then life 17 year old senior graduation faces!

Came home to finish up my recipe cards for the cookie exchange. Savannah went with us and she was very excited to see Jackie's house. She was not too sure of her 3 rather large dogs but very excited to see and pet the three horses she has. I was holding her though so that might have helped. I know she was warming up to the dogs since she was at the screen door saying good bye to them when we left. The cookie exchange party was very nice and everyone shared their cookies and recipes. We sat down to have a plate of cookies and egg nog, hot chocolate, or spiced cider. It was all yummy and Savannah was sitting on a barstool in between my mom and I. She thought she was big stuff getting to be one of the ladies. She ate a few cookies and then acted a little funny. My mom and I both questioned her if she was all right and she said yes. Then the look of panic and she started to choke a little bit.......well we should have known better....she proceeded to throw up. Now Savannah is a kid that needs to empty her stomach once she starts. throwing up - we are not sure why or if this will ever change but man was it totally embarassing!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, everyone was surprised and jumped up to get out of the way and to try and not look at her. Every ounce of cuteness that she had charmed these ladies with was GONE!!! At this point both my mom and I had throw up on us and we were trying as quickly to get out of the situation. If the floor would have opened up I would have jumped head first in, dragging my mom and Savannah in the process. I finally picked her up and went to the bathroom where she did get the rest of it out into the toilet. She was a mess and I smelled something terrible. I guess my mom and Jackie took care of the rest of the mess we left at the table so Savannah and I stayed in the bathroom until I was sure she was done and cleaned up. Took the awful clothes out to the car and thank goodness I carry spare sets and plastic bags in the back. Picked a new outfit out of what I had and took that back into the house. Savannah was now dancing in the bathroom in her pullup. Yep, back on track in that small amount of time. Got her changed and tried to make myself less smelly but it was not happening. We went back to the table and tried to apologize to everyone. Jackie continued to use Febreeze but we were stinking up the joint. We had to go to pick up my Grandma for The Nutcracker which started at 5 and now we had an extra step of changing our own clothes too. We called Clark from the car and gave him instructions on what he needed to get ready for us to be in and out in less then 10 minutes. I think we did a pretty good job considering Savannah had fallen asleep on the way home and was crying for most of our time in the house.

After we had changed, we were back in the car and off to see The Nutcracker. It was the youth ballet performance and we had a great time. Savannah loved it and was so excited to see the dancers. Very fast moving and a great use of the little kids kept everyone focused on the performance. We took Great Grandma home and then went to eat at Panda Express. Savannah ate a TON of noodles and seemed to fill herself back up.

When we got home, we found a new mailbox decorated with a Santa on it at the front door. Daddy did not know how it got there and he said no one had been at the house since we left! We ordered an elf from Santa to come and watch our house this Christmas and I have heard that our elf is supposed to arrive tomorrow so maybe this was Santa's way of letting us know we are going to have a delivery tomorrow!!! We are very excited and can not wait to see what our elf looks like and what her name is. Savannah really wanted a girl elf so I put in an extra special request for a girl.
