Protected by.....

Savannah the Incredible. I was cleaning out my office/scrap room/place where junk goes when people are coming over.......hahaha I know everyone has one of these mine is just worse then most! and I found these things we brought home from a Disney on Ice show. At the time, Savannah could care less about them but now she was super excited to be an Incredible and run around the house protecting us.
A funny story from when she was small is she was telling us all about Bob and she went on and on about Bob. We could not figure out who Bob was until suddenly she mentioned Helen and we put it together. Now when we see Mr. Incredible at Disneyland we all yell "Hi Bob!"
Let us know if you need any protection and Savannah Incredible will be right over!

Snow in San Jose???

These pictures were taken last Friday the 13th. Standing at my front door with a little zoom!!! See Teresa and Jenn this is how much snow we like!! I don't think it lasted until noon but still it was cold enough for me to put on a sweatshirt!
You can see my mom and dad's house in the corner.White powder on the hills.

Longer view....can you tell I was not dressed yet so I did not go beyond the porch. Don't want the neighbors talking you know...hahaha

Kyle fresh out of the shower and wanted to show Coconut his first snow....you can tell Coconut is like whatever, can we go back inside now.

We had a great day of sunshine and 65 degrees yesterday so no snow this morning. The kids are still on break and Grandma and Papa took all 4 of them to Monterey yesterday. They had a fun day of the Aquarium, Bubba Gump shrimp and Dennis the Menace park. No pics I'm sure because I was at work! They had a sleepover and who knows what they have planned for today!

Valentine's Day Adventure

It drives me crazy that blogger puts my pics in backwards!!!! UGH!! anyways, last episode we were off on our Valentine Family Adventure. We stopped by to check for ants at the Taylors while they were gone. No ants! We went to Michael's house to drop off stuff for his kids. We made Kyle do it since they had all been sick for over a week and we did not want the virus to jump in our car! HAHA!!!
Off to Great-Grandma's to drop off her gift and give her some quick hugs and kisses. We arrived during her lunch time so we went in the dining room. We created an uproar but walked to the back where she was sitting and she was very excited to see us. I like to visit her when she does not think we are coming. The ladies at her table all got a Savannah hug and Kyle I think was worried the older ladies would suck the life out of him so he huddled next to the wall and just smiled! They were getting red velvet cupcakes for dessert....looked Yummy!
We had plans of our own for lunch..........Lunch at Coldstone Ice Cream. Yep, ice cream for lunch....nothing wrong with that especially on a holiday. The kids thought it was cool. Savannah had banana ice cream and wanted a cherry on top but they did not have any. She was fine with that and just had her ice cream plain. I had cake batter with twix, Clark got cake batter with reeses peanut butter cup and Kyle went for vanilla with gummy bears. I don't know how he eats this since the gummy bears get so hard but he has loved this for a couple of years now.

After lunch we headed off to Toys R Us. Just to look around and let the kids play with stuff. We are usually in a hurry or have 1000 other places to be so we let them look to their hearts content. Savannah added a new doggie to her collection and Kyle bought a couple of games with some gift cards he had.
We stopped at the grocery store to pick up the weekly stuff and something for dinner. Grandma and Papa came to eat with us. Clark and Savannah took a nap in the car while Kyle and I shopped. After dinner we all decorated heart cookies with edible ink. Fun and tasty....I was surprised that they were not stale or yucky tasting.
It was a fun Valentine's Day!!! Hugs and Kisses to You!

Valentine's Roses

Okay, here are the wonderful will grow 600 times their size roses! As you can see, Savannah is not really impressed by this! We did take them out of the bowl on the counter and they shrunk back down but I think our roses growing is over....no interest! I will try and steer her away from any future promises of things growing 600 times their size! HA!!!

Ranch with Papa

Here is my brother showing off his mad ATV riding skills! What a man....or a circus clown your choice!

Doing some last minute repairs before Joseph goes riding...This is the way it always is. I think they do just as much fix and repair as riding. Although this yello bike has survived all of the grandkids riding it. The little two will get more miles put on it.

Rockstar Princess Rebecca has moved on to bigger and better (ha-who knows what reapirs this one needs?!!) bikes!

Papa and Savannah getting ready to ride....notice I am not there yelling get on a helmet!!!!!!

The girls kick back and have a picnic lunch!

Joesph is ready to go----he just needs a driver!

Hot mama with her shades!

Bikes on the Trailer.....he is such a little man. He knows he will be going to get dirty and play with stuff.

Putting pinecones in the BBQ for Papa!

Helping Papa do a fix and repair job. I'm sure she gave him her opinion about something or else she was telling him to hurry up Papa!

Much happier to be on the bike waiting then off and asking 10,000 questions.

Then we move on to trick biking or modeling a differnt pose!

This was all on a very Sunny CA day in January. The kids and dads went off to the ranch to have fun. I think they were gone all day and didn't get home until dark. I went to the grocery store by myself (always a good thing since I don't add random stuff to the cart!) and then called my mom and we went out to lunch and shopping. I got my wedding ring cleaned and reset. I had not done it in about 10 years so I am much more comfortable with the diamond staying where it needs to be. It was nice to have a day for them to go and play and a day for me to get stuff done. I thought Savannah would hate it but she said she is ready to go back and play at the ranch again! Once they get toilets and a shopping mall I will join them!

Girls Night Out....

WOW! It has been a week since I last posted!! Time goes by some weeks much too quickly! It was a busy week with extra boy scouts on Monday night and then I went out on Wednesday night!!! This is amazing if you know me at all. I am a jammies and bedtime early kinda girl. Shows that start at 10 p.m. will have to be watched on the internet because 9 out of 10 times I fall asleep and Oprah wakes me up when she comes on at 1 a.m.!!!

Anyways, Jackie had invited me to go out with her friends in January but it was on a boy scout night and I had other stuff to do so I told her to let me know what the February plan was. She did and after Clark working out what days he was working in town - we made it happen. They were going to see "He's just not into you" and have dinner. I decided to skip dinner since I could power shop for an hour at the mall and get some of my Valentine's stuff done too. I also had been talking to an old friend on facebook and trying to figure out when we could get together. Now this friend was also my maid of honor at my wedding and we had not seen each other since last November. Prior to that it was at my baby shower for Kyle!!! Yes, he will be 13 next month so you can imagine the time we needed to get caught up. I told her I was going and she decided to come with me. We met and walked around the mall and then sat and talked for about an hour. Amazing how some friends can be gone from your life but it never really feels like they have been gone. It was great and we have soo much more to get caught up on but time is on our side! She will be moving this summer to another state so I will make time to catch up and make sure we stay in contact.

We went to the movie and met Jackie and her friends. I think she said there was 18 in all! GIRL POWER!!! The movie was better then I thought and I enjoyed it but I am also GLAD that I didn't have to do a lot of dating! WOWSER!!! Being married for so long but also having dated the same person for so long before marriage is much easier then what those chicks were going thru. Liked the amount of humor in the movie too. Was it my favorite movie of all time? No, but it was a nice escape and enjoyable! I also got to eat my own popcorn and bought a medium soda and gee, I threw the rest away when I left. This NEVER happens when I go with Clark or Kyle. they both drink their sodas and start on mine which is why they always make me get the gallon size! I also got half Cherry Coke and half Coke Zero.....love this but Clark is anti-Cherry Coke so I stay away from this usually. After the movie, Jackie and I caught up and talked for a bit. It is nice to have reconnected with her too. I have not gone out without the family in some time and always feel guilty about it but it was nice to have me time and probably something we all need from time to time.

I'm going to post some pics today but will probably not give a run down of what they are until the weekend when I have time.

Happy Friday the 13th!!!!

Fashion Diva at work....

I was putting my camera battery back in the camera last night after charging it and Savannah decided to do a fashion shoot for me. People always tell us we should get her in modeling but I am afraid we would go and this would happen!
Yes, look at me!!!! Right here....

Okay this one is not too bad but she gets fierce in the next few.....

This might be a ballet pose...not sure.......

I think this one might hurt a little.....

Attitude is everything if you are a model.....or a three year old!

Put your hip out and smile.....

That's a wrap......
See this is what we live with every day. We also get rock star shows and Princess dress up shows and so much more. Love my little diva and hope she never changes!

Happy Birthday Michael!

Okay I know this is not a great pic of Michael but here he is at Christmas with Joseph! He is having his birthday party at the ranch with his kids and my dad. Rebecca invited us to come too but we had plans already. They are coming to eat up our Superbowl snacks when they get back! Funny how for kids it is all about the cake, if it is someone's birthday then there must be CAKE!!!

Interesting week for us. We had Kyle's moving up ceremony at boy scouts on Tuesday night. Thursday I got to go to the DMV to renew my drivers license! The last time I went was when I was 24 and they wanted to update my beautifulpicture with another....you know it will be just as crappy as the one I have now! hahaha I made an appointment to avoid the pain that usually is assoicated with the DMV and my appointment was for 8:50 am. I still got there a little bit early, checked in and sat down for the wait. I waited then off to window 12 to pay and take an eye exam. No other changes so I paid my $28 and she sent me off to the camera line. Waited my turn there and it was next to people who were taking the test. Who know's if I could actually pass that test?????! I figure I will have to help Kyle study for it in a couple of years (YIKES!) and that is soon enough for me. Took my picture and was walking out the door at 9:13. Guess it does help to have an appointment!!! The new license should be at my mailbox in 2-3 weeks.

Yesterday, we went to Kyle's old school to support the taiko program. They were having their Chinese New Year Celebration and Kyle performed with the adult group. He said he was happy to not have a costume change like last year. It was a good show and I sold snacks to help them raise more money. Grandma and Savannah played on the playground and watched most of the show. Savannah took a nap during it. Not sure how she was able to sleep with all the drums going. I am amazed at the number of parents who dropped their kids off and left. DID NOT STAY to watch them perform. This was the choir, taiko kids etc!!! What the heck is that??????? I can not imagine. There was one little girl (first grade so maybe 6 years old?) who was left when all the other kids were gone. Felt bad for her. She sat with us for about an hour before anyone thought to come pick her up!

They think they raised enough money for the choir and the taiko for the rest of the year. They will still be selling See's candy for Easter and then have a booth at the multiculteral night to try and get more. This whole program is funded by recycling!! We still have Clark and Kyle take all our bottles etc. to taiko on Sunday nights to help this program. Something the kids need and the schools just do not have enough money to get it done.

We went out to dinner with my parents last night to Aqui. Love it and it has been a long time since we ate there. I had the pork tamales and Clark and my dad had an ahi tuna special. They both loved it. My mom went for her favorite Salmon knife and fork burrito. Kyle had the Cuban pork enchiladas and for the first time in a Loooonnnnggg time I did not have to trade food with him.

Today we met the Taylors at the Park and the kids and the dogs had a good time. We went to the shopping center and had luch together. We were laughing at how much drama the little girls have and how much alike they are! Not sure if it is the age or just being the baby girls or what. I should do a complete comparison someday. Would have gone to Farmer's Market too but had the dog so home again for the drama queen to take a long nap before the cousins arrive later. We will be watching the Super Bowl for the commercials and snacks!!!
