Here are our hostesses Ro and Ree....they are at the children's buffet table. Their mom likes to put out stuff that kids will eat freely. The girls love it and know that they are allowed to eat whatever they want. I think all of the kids grazed over and took a few bites before the Easter Egg Hunt.

The girls Grandpa hide the eggs all over the yard. Most were pretty much out in the open. I don't think any of the kids were over 5 years old so it was lots of fun. Savannah was enjoying herself but also not too excited to get too many eggs. I think she was just looking forward to running around and playing with everyone at the party. It had been cold all week so the warm sunshine was great!

Since Kyle is on the older end of the kids, there was a special treasure hunt with 13 clues for him to find the Golden egg. He found it after about an hour and the little kid hunt was over. Made him think and he got a $5 bill on the final egg!! This was the clue to find the next one in the coldest place you can find in the house. I helped out and said to check in the freezer!

Savannah shows off her haul of eggs, while G. keeps looking for more.

Okay Mommy, I think I am done can you hold my eggs? I want to go play!

Egg hunt over and time to get in the sandbox and get a little dirty! Savannah had a great time playing with her friends.

Kyle still on the hunt.......

The kids enjoying a yummy brunch of eggs, fruit, potatoes, veggies and more!

Ro is decorating some dyed eggs. I noticed the girls had disappeared and it was getting to be time to go since other people had left the party. When I went inside to see what had happened to Savannah I found them dyeing eggs!

Look Mommy, we decided to make a BIG mess!! Actually the girls Grandpa had it under control and he pretty much let them do whatever they wanted....reminds me of a certain Papa that we know. We actually did not dye eggs at our house this year. Kyle did not want to do it and Clark said he would give up eating blue dyed egg salad for a week! I'm sure I will not get away with it next year because Savannah thought it was lots of fun.
We had a great day before Easter at the egg hunt and stopped at the park on the way home. It was a beautiful day and the kids were still excited. Kyle and Clark had not been to the park we went to but Savannah and I had eaten lunch and played at the park before so she was the expert telling Kyle how to climb the rocks and slide down the slide. After the park play we went home and someone was almost all the way asleep when we pulled in the driveway. I think we all took a small nap and then hung out and watched a movie together. Later that night I cooked up our breakfast for the next morning......creme brulee french toast.....family favorite for the holidays!
