We stopped off at Mitchell to see the Corn Palace. They are in the process of changing to the 2009 design on the front but the 2008 panels were still up to honor everyday heros. Police, fire, nurses, teachers, and family.
This is the side of the building-the panels were done but the area with the stars still needed to be filled in with corn.
Savannah and Papa worked on this corn man and then Savannah decided to use all the rest of the corn to make a realllllllly looooong arm waving hi!We thought Rebecca might be able to see it if they made it before it closed. Rebecca said she did not see it though.
Acting Corny......do we need to say anything else? Does everyone else do this? I think we are required to stick our heads in funny things like this everywhere we go! We made Grandma and Papa do it too!
This was a map they had with pins people had marked where they were from. It was pretty cool to see all the pins and then Kyle was happy to mark us being from San Jose!
